Yes and yes! Better Books is based in New Orleans, LA, but we're 100% virtual and proudly serve clients across the United States. We use secure tools to communicate, share documents, and deliver your financial reports — no matter where you are. That said, if you're in the New Orleans metro area and prefer to meet in person, we're open to that too.

Our monthly bookkeeping packages start at $375/month for our Better Essentials plan, which is designed for solopreneurs and startups with straightforward bookkeeping needs. Our Better Signature plan starts at $450/month for growing businesses, and our Better Elevated plan starts at $750/month for scaling businesses with more complex needs including payroll and CFO-level support.

We keep it transparent — any onboarding or cleanup fees will be clearly outlined before you commit to anything. For standard monthly bookkeeping clients, there are typically no surprise fees. If your books need significant cleanup before we can begin, we'll quote that separately and you'll know exactly what to expect.

We work on a month-to-month basis for our ongoing bookkeeping services. We believe in earning your business every single month by delivering value — not locking you into a contract. That said, we do ask for 30 days notice if you decide to move on, so we can wrap things up cleanly.

We accept major credit cards, ACH bank transfers, and payments through our secure client portal. Monthly invoices are sent automatically so you never have to think about it.
